Team management in Compass is powered by Clerk. Invitations, authentication, and role management are handled through Clerk’s secure identity platform.
Managing your team
Navigate to the People page in the left sidebar to see all current members of your organisation. From here, you can view each member’s name, email, role, and status.Inviting team members
Enter the email address
Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite and select their role.
Roles and permissions
Compass uses a role-based access system to control what each team member can do:| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to all features and settings. Can manage billing, invite/remove members, and delete the organisation. Typically the person who created the account. |
| Admin | Full access to agents, widgets, monitoring, and team management. Cannot manage billing or delete the organisation. |
| Member | Access to agents, widgets, and monitoring features. Cannot manage team members or organisation settings. |
Role assignments can be changed at any time from the People page. Click the role badge next to a team member’s name to update their access level.
Removing team members
To remove a member from your organisation:- Navigate to the People page.
- Find the team member you want to remove.
- Click the Remove action next to their name.
- Confirm the removal.
Switching between organisations
If you belong to multiple organisations, you can switch between them using the organisation switcher in the sidebar.- Click the organisation name at the top of the left sidebar.
- Select the organisation you want to switch to from the dropdown.
- The dashboard will reload with the selected organisation’s data.
Profile management
Click your avatar or name in the sidebar to access your personal profile settings.Personal information
Update your name, email address, and profile photo. These details are displayed to other members of your organisation.Security settings
Manage your account security:- Password — Change your account password.
- Two-factor authentication — Enable or disable 2FA for an additional layer of security.
- Active sessions — View and manage your active login sessions across devices.
Security settings are managed through Clerk’s authentication platform. Changes to your password or 2FA settings take effect immediately across all your organisations.
